Residential Conveyancer in East Lancashire. Up to £45,000, hybrid working, broad progression support and separate onboarding and post-completion support.

Progression can mean building your technical expertise, taking on greater responsibility or working towards qualification. Our client supports development in all these forms, with several colleagues due to qualify soon and experienced assistants already progressing into handling their own cases.

You’ll have separate onboarding and post-completion support, plus assistant support matched to your workload. That gives you practical help around your caseload, alongside the opportunity to handle a broad range of residential property matters.

Hybrid working offers up to two days at home each week, with free office parking for the days you commute. Salary is up to £45,000, depending on experience, with participation in a profit-sharing bonus scheme subject to eligibility.

What’s different about this role

  • Progression that goes beyond qualification. Whether you want to deepen your expertise, take on more responsibility or qualify, the firm supports staff development. Several colleagues are approaching qualification.
  • Help around your caseload. Separate onboarding and post-completion functions mean you have support at both ends of a transaction.
  • Assistant support matched to workload. Support may be shared or dedicated, depending on the volume of work you handle.
  • Hybrid working with time to settle in. An initial office-based week helps you meet colleagues and learn the systems before moving into the hybrid pattern.
  • Performance reviews that consider support needs. Targets are used to discuss progress and identify where help is needed.

What’s in it for you

  • Salary up to £45,000, depending on experience and breadth of conveyancing expertise.
  • Profit-sharing bonus scheme, subject to eligibility and firm performance; amounts vary.
  • At least three office days and up to two home-working days per week.
  • Free office parking.
  • Annual leave plus bank holidays and additional Christmas leave; exact allowance to be confirmed.
  • Training, development and support for career progression, including professional qualification.
  • Staff socials and lunch-and-learn sessions.

The Work

  • Manage your own varied residential conveyancing caseload.
  • Handle transactions including sales, purchases, remortgages and transfers of equity.
  • Work across matters such as leasehold, new-build and shared-ownership transactions, according to your experience.
  • Progress files towards completion, working with onboarding, assistant and post-completion colleagues.

What We’re Looking For

  • An experienced residential conveyancing fee earner able to manage a varied caseload with autonomy.
  • A qualified solicitor, licensed conveyancer or legal executive is preferred, although qualification is not essential.
  • Broad, practical experience across residential transaction types.
  • A clear understanding of your technical strengths, any development needs and the workload you can manage.
  • The ability to contribute promptly, without requiring training across every work type.

The Culture

Development is backed by colleagues progressing into case handling and several staff members approaching qualification. The firm supports progression in different forms, giving both qualified and unqualified fee earners reasons to keep developing. Performance discussions focus on progress and the help needed to move matters forward, alongside regular training and lunch-and-learn sessions. Along with lots of social events and a friendly atmosphere where you can thrive.
